BioART Fertility Centre, in collaboration with the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) and the Durban University of Technology (D.U.T.) has been involved with research and development for many years.
Dr. M.I. Cassim, who heads the Academic and Research Division at BioART, mentions that the year 2017 was a particularly proud period in BioART’s achievements. Three research papers were submitted to the prestigious C.O.G.I (Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility) 2017 conference in Austria, Vienna and all three papers were accepted. Moreover, one of the submissions were awarded the Best Research Abstract paper at the C.O.G.I conference in the Young Scientist category. The young Scientist in this instance was Gynaecologist, Dr. Tasneem Mohammed from the University of the Witwatersrand who conducted the research under the supervision of Dr. M.I. Cassim at BioART.
